Working across a range of media and modes of address, Aivazian delves into the ways in which power embeds, affects and moves people, objects, animals, landscape and architecture. He explores apparatuses of control and sovereignty at work in sports, museums and music. Aivazian has received an MFA from Northwestern University, Evanston, USA, and a BFA from Concordia University, Montréal, Canada. His recent exhibitions include: Why Should Fear Seize the Limbs Before the Warning Sounds?, Douglas Hyde Gallery_G2, Dublin (2018); Cycles of Collapsing Progress, Tripoli Fair and Fort, Tripoli (Lebanon, 2018); Navigator Art on Paper Prize, Chiado 8, Lisbon (2018). He lives in Beirut.
