Isabel Lewis

Isabel Lewis was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Venice, Florida. She studied Dance/Choreography and Literary Criticism at Hollins University (USA) before forming the Labor Union, with Erika Hand, in New York in 2004. In 2009 she moved to Berlin and began working on a collection of notes that would become her solo exhibition, entitled STRANGE ACTION. Important to Lewis's oeuvre are the multiple modalities that comprise her art practice, such as critical and theoretical writing, teaching, and performance.
