Jasmijn Visser
1983 · Utrecht, Netherlands
Complexity is at the core of Visser’s practice, especially in relation to geopolitical conflict. With internet 2.0, the perception of our world has shifted radically. In order to interpret this shift, Visser proposes new forms of complexity framing. Just as she questions societal structural foundations, she also questions what an artist is. She works in transdisciplinary collaborative constellations and the resulting artworks made with existing structures of the internet are accessible online. She has exhibited at Galerie Aeroplastics, Brussels; Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam; Witte de With, Rotterdam; MOMA Moscow; Krasnoyarsk Museum Centre; Kunsthal Rotterdam; and Centraal Museum Utrecht.
